The Trip His Partner Came Along

A regular who always booked alone brings his partner on the next trip, and the evening becomes a couple's booking with figures and questions of its own.

Returning guests sometimes bring a partner. A trip that was always a solo work visit becomes a long weekend together, or a partner who knew about the earlier bookings decides to be part of the next one. Either way, the booking changes shape, and a regular who knows the solo arrangement well will find a few things are different.

Two ways to book as a couple

A couple can share one therapist or have a therapist each. Sharing one is 360 euros an hour, 540 for ninety minutes and 720 for two hours. With a therapist for each partner, the figures are 720 an hour, 1,080 for ninety minutes and 1,440 for two hours. The overnight for a couple is 2,500 with one therapist and 5,760 with a therapist each. All of these figures are printed in every profile on the roster.

How each is paid

A couple sharing one therapist follows the same payment rule as a solo booking. If the guest is a returning client, booking on the day, for one or two hours, at an address in central Amsterdam, the whole fee is paid at the door. Otherwise half goes ahead. A couple with a therapist each is a booking for two therapists at once, and two therapists always carry half ahead, whoever is booking and whenever. An hour with a therapist each sends 360 before they set out and 360 at the door.

The fact that the partner has never booked before does not by itself turn the booking into a first booking. The booking is made by the guest, from his thread, and it is his history that counts.

The age rule covers both

Everyone present must be twenty-one or over, and the therapist may ask anyone in the room to show a photo document at the door. A regular who has shown his own document before should expect that his partner may be asked for hers. She glances at it and returns it, and no copy or note is made. Where either of them cannot show it, she does not stay and the session does not start. The rule is written out on the age statement page.

Her limits, with two guests

With a couple in the room, the therapist says at the start what the session includes and where her limits are, exactly as she would with one guest. Those limits apply to both people. If each partner has a therapist, each woman sets her own. Couples who arrive with a detailed plan for the evening sometimes find it does not survive the first minutes, and that is normal. She decides what each session includes, and the couple's part is to say what they would like and listen to her answer.

The room

A room that suited one guest and one therapist may feel small with three people in it, and crowded with four. A couple sharing one therapist needs a bed with space around it. A couple with a therapist each needs noticeably more. A regular who always took a compact room in an older building may want something larger for a couple's trip, and it is worth mentioning the room size in the message if there is any doubt.

Writing the message

The message looks like a normal return booking with one more line. The opening line says he has booked before and roughly when. Then the date and hour, the address with floor and room, the length, and whether they would like one therapist or two. A name or two, if they have looked at the roster together. And a sentence saying that it is a couple's booking, so the reply can confirm the right figure and the right deposit.

Booking ahead for two

A couple's trip is often planned further in advance than a solo work visit, and that has a payment consequence worth knowing. A couple's booking fixed from home more than a day ahead carries half first, even when it shares one therapist and runs for only an hour. So an hour for a couple sharing one woman, booked the week before, means 180 euros ahead and 180 at the door. Written on the afternoon itself by a returning client, the same hour is paid in full on arrival.

What regulars say afterwards

The couple's evening is a different evening from the solo one. Some regulars book it once and go back to coming alone; some make it the shape of every trip they take together. Neither is a verdict on the other. The guide to a different format on a return trip sets the couple's booking beside the other changes a returning guest might make, with the rate row for each.
